Both Riverside and San Bernardino counties run sheriff-coroner operations, and their role is the investigation. When it is finished, the property is released to the family or the owner, and cleanup is not part of what they do. Almost every family we speak with is surprised by this. Responsibility sits with whoever holds the property — a homeowner, a landlord or property manager, or the estate. You can call us before the release so a plan is ready.
Many homeowners and renters policies include coverage for biohazard remediation, and many commercial policies do as well, but it depends on your specific policy and the cause of loss. We do not guess. We document the scope with photographs and written detail, and when a policy covers the loss we bill your insurer directly so you are not paying up front and waiting for reimbursement. If coverage is unclear, we will help you ask the right questions before you commit to anything.
We schedule as soon as you have the release and authorise the work. What we will not do is promise an arrival time we cannot keep. This market covers two large counties, and a call from Victorville, Temecula or the far side of Hemet is a very different drive from one in Ontario or Rialto. We give you an honest window, call when we are close, and start the same visit whenever the scope allows.
Most of the structure normally stays. Framing, slab and sheathing usually remain. What generally cannot be saved is porous material that absorbed fluid: carpet and pad, mattresses and upholstered furniture, particleboard cabinetry, and affected subfloor, drywall and insulation. We remove to a verified clean margin and no further, and we open a small inspection area and show you before widening anything. Personal belongings are separated from the removal list and nothing sentimental leaves without your permission.
Our vehicles are unmarked with no company graphics. Technicians arrive in plain clothing and change on site, and we will park where you ask. We do not discuss the reason for our visit with neighbours, guests, residents or staff, and we do not stage containers in front of a home longer than the work requires. In managed communities with shared driveways and in hotels along the freeway corridors, we plan access and timing with you in advance.
